DESCRIPTION
Retro Arcade-style Rally Racing in repurposed Parking Garages in big cities across North America and Europe
You said "Parking Garage"?
The “Parking Garage Rally Circuit” tour comes into a city, selects a parking garage, and temporarily turns it into an exciting rally course for a week-long competition. Each track in the game is styled as a unique parking garage that has been turned into a race course.
Rally... Circuit?!?
This is a hybrid of Rally and circuit racing. From rally it draws the jumps and “one racer at a time against the clock” time-trial format.
However, the tracks are similar to circuit racing, with each race consisting of multiple laps around the same track.
Controls are very tight, simple and arcadey, similar to Mario Kart (accelerate, reverse, steer, drift), but with a bit more dynamic “smash into things” physics.
Seamless Leaderboards
After beating the gold trophy for a course, ghosts from other players just barely ahead of you on the leaderboard are automatically downloaded to race against, getting you into that "just one more" flow as you chase down rivals. Limiting the auto-download rivals to Steam friends only is also an option.
Realtime Multiplayer
Create or join a lobby of up to 8 players for realtime peer-to-peer non-contact racing!
Local split-screen multiplayer for up to 4 players is also supported!
Retro Style
Designed to look and feel like a long lost Sega Saturn game that could have been released in ~1998.
This includes low-resolution, low-poly, chunky textures of course, but also extends to the audio, simple interface, and streamlined game scope.
Tight, arcade drifting

FAQ
what makes the “DX” version special?
The original version “Parking Garage Rally Circuit” was released in 2025 on Steam and only contained 8 tracks set in the United States. Parking Garage Rally Circuit DX is a new version of the game that includes all of the original content plus the new “European Tour” expansion content that adds 8 more tracks set in western Europe (including more fantastic new music by The Holophonics), and has been optimized for new platforms, such as Wavedash.
What is the space intro thing? What is ‘Walaber Pluto’?
Saturn is to Sega as Pluto is to Walaber :)
Basically, “Walaber Pluto” is the fictional console stand-in for the Sega Saturn. According to the lore™️ Parking Garage Rally Circuit was released for the Walaber Pluto system, one of the first generation of 3D-capable home consoles (pictured) in 1998.
Is that a Lancia? (Are the cars real rally cars)?
All of the cars in the game are fictional cars, each is sort of a mix of various cars that they represent (in the game, each car represents a different class / category).
”LIGHT” (the entry level category) represented by the “Tatsugi Zippi”
”HEAVY” (faster) represented by the “Cassiopeia RX-2”
”ULTRA” (fastest) represented by the “Alta Forte-Z”
How do I get a boost at the start of the race?
It’s a timing thing! Press and hold the accelerate input when the word “SET” is fully visible on-screen. If you got the timing right, you should see flames coming from your car’s exhaust pipes.
Does the game run on an actual Sega Saturn?
No, this game was made using modern tools (Godot, Blender) and only tries to emulate the look and feel of a Sega Saturn game. However, I’ve publicly mentioned multiple times that if the game sells 100,000 units or more, I will make a special version of this game that actually runs on Sega Saturn! Am I serious about this? Purchase 100k copies and call my bluff :D
ABOUT THE DEV
A lifelong and constant creator, Tim (Walaber) found his calling in game development. He majored in Film Studies at the University of Colorado Boulder, and also had a passion for computers from an early age.
In high school Tim learned how to program his own video games, and kept that up as a hobby through college and early work life in Japan, first teaching English and later working on a prime-time Japanese Television show as assistant director.
Tim got his start in the games industry in quality assurance at Disney, quickly turning that into a producer role, and eventually game designer. There he started a mobile development team who went on to create Disney’s biggest early App Store successes "JellyCar" and “Where’s My Water?” That led to more senior creative positions at both Disney and later NBCUniversal as Vice President, Games Creative, where he led a team of designers and artists who helped solve creative challenges for games, and pitched new game concepts.
Now a full-time indie, Tim has released titles under the name Walaber Entertainment (Pro Gymnast Simulator, JellyCar Worlds) as well as 1/2 of the indie studio Toyful Games (Very Very Valet).
He streams the development of his games live on twitch multiple times a week, and occasionally creates learning-oriented content on YouTube, and also teaches Game development at Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, CA.
